I know it’s far too early to start thinking about spring, but the days are getting longer and even though it’s snowing outside as I write this blog I know we’re heading in the right direction.
I guess spring is all about renewal and new birth, so what has this to do with signs? Quite a lot actually! Our sign business consists of customized banners, window graphics, vehicle graphics for new vehicles etc. but the last few weeks we have seen a flurry of sign refurbishment jobs.
Take illuminated cabinet signs. These type of signs typically are a significant investment for many businesses: there’s the cost of getting the power to the sign, capital cost of the sign itself, installation and, how could I forget, the cost/time to get zoning, sign permits and inspection completed. But signs don’t last forever and the weather will degrade the surface of the sign over time. The vinyl printed images will fade and peel with exposure to sunlight (yes we do get some of that, even in Northeast Ohio!) and there’s nothing quite as depressing as a sign that is well past its best.
Fortunately help is at hand and Signs 330 is poised to support you in your hour of need. For a fraction of the original capital cost we can totally refurbish and renew your sign. As an example we’ve just renewed an illuminated cabinet sign for a local restaurant. The logo belonged to the previous owner, and the vinyl letters were beginning to peel off. Our in-house graphics team replaced the logo, changed the typeface and improved the color palette. The sign looks like new (well it is) and the owner is now getting the benefit of a ‘new’ sign for a fraction of the original capital cost.
I’m optimistic that, with the Covid-19 vaccination roll-out now taking place, the economy will accelerate in the spring and there’ll be a lot of pent-up demand from consumers. Now is the time to start planning how to attract customers back to your business and new and refurbished signage should be an important part of your marketing strategy. Signs 330 is poised and ready to support you!
