People tend to get accustomed to their surroundings that when they travel, they get to see everything with bright shiny new eyes. I was fortunate enough last week to travel to NOLA and down through Central America. The way they do signage is completely different! The design of the signs in NOLA really portrayed what the city represented. The signage in Central America was just as captivating. Instead of big, illuminated signs they relied on murals and painting. It gave “vibrant” a whole new definition.
It is important to leave your day-to-day surroundings to see what else is out there. Not only did I come back refreshed, but I came back inspired as well. I can’t wait to see how I can incorporate what I saw into my work.
